Source and Target server can be either the same machine (2.2 and 3 or 4 installed on the same machine) or two machines that are connected over a network via TCP/IP.
Disk space requirements still apply in either case.
In other words, the available free disk space must be at least 2x the space of your current DocuShare 2.2 site.
Start DocuShare 3 or 4 installation program on the source server.
Select only the DocuShare Migration Tool option during the installation process.
