EzeScan is a desktop batch scanning application which greatly simplifies the task of scanning documents into DocuShare. With its simple to configure single click job button interface, EzeScan can integrate with any multifunction device (MFD), such as Xerox, or any brand of TWAIN / ISIS compliant scanner to enable those devices to scan batches of one or more documents at a time. Batches of documents can be split by using barcodes or separator pages, or using a fixed page count.
EzeScan supports all types of document scanning, which can be as simple as an ad-hoc scanning, to unstructured and correspondence scanning, FOIA requests, Accounts Payable, Invoice processing or scanning of structured survey/application forms. The solution can be deployed in a workstation, kiosk or server environment to achieve the goals required to get documents scanned, indexed with OCR and uploaded into DocuShare in an efficient and effective manner.
Metadata collection may be fixed, variable with manual data entry, variable with automated capture (using inbuilt OCR, ICR, IDR, OMR, MICR and Barcode recognition engines) or a mixture of any of these three methods.
EzeScan makes it easy to scan documents, capture relevant metadata and then push the image as a text searchable PDF directly into DocuShare.
