Description
This solution integrates DocuShare with the ddCOLD electronic archiving system. ddCOLD is designed for businesses and organizations that handle large volumes of documents with standard layouts such as invoices, waybills, or business reports. It easily handles a large amount of documents, from thousands to millions, expanding effortlessly to meet an organization's needs.
Features of the DocuShare-ddCOLD integration include:
- Enables document conversion to PDF
- Only DocuShare documents which have the object type "document" in DocuShare are converted
- The relation between DocuShare metadata and the ddCOLD index is defined in the ddCOLD configuration using a specific graphical user interface (GUI)
- Documents are converted into ddCOLD by a batch job that selects documents by time stamp
- A user selects collections or documents to be archived by a specific metadata field/archive tag
- Browse the ddCOLD archive via the DocuShare GUI
- An Archive Search Form can be used to search documents from ddCOLD
- User rights and access to archived documents remain as defined in DocuShare
- Removing documents: Integration replaces archived documents with an empty file in DocuShare.
