Description
DSImport is a simple tool for automatically importing all types of documents into DocuShare, in order to recover an existing data base, or to automatically import documents from a file server. These two modes of use are independent and make it possible to easily and quickly migrate documents to and populate the DocuShare site. DSImport recovers, starting from an address selected by the user, the directories, sub-directories, and files in order to import them into the DocuShare server's database. They are automatically imported in DocuShare according to a frequency determined by the user. The original directories or documents are then either removed or preserved. (The PDF conversion format has many advantages: it guarantees standardized access to the documents and retains page-settings, also protecting information from modification or copying.)
