Description
DSBarCode enables optical recognition of bar codes and automated image processing of documents to be stored in DocuShare. DSBarCode integrates tested technologies, including the ABBYY OCR engine, to enable batch scanning where identification by page is required. Bar code recognition allows fast and reliable identification to help classify documents by characteristics such as area, person in charge, service, reference codes, etc.
Bar codes can either be printed on a document of origin, or affixed to the document by labelling before scanning. Identification of the key pages or batch separator pages enables fast indexing after batches are reconstituted. DSBarCode makes it possible to carry out other operations such as searching for information (properties) in an external database, and eliminates the need for manual indexing.
