The Xerox DocuShare Client lets you access DocuShare directly from the Microsoft Windows desktop, Office applications, or Outlook. Not only can files be "dragged and dropped" directly into or out of DocuShare as part of routine activities, but they can also be directly accessed from Windows' Open and Save commands. If you’re using Nuance PaperPort, the PaperPort Link to DocuShare is installed with the Client, allowing you to drag and drop scanned documents to DocuShare.
Note: DocuShare Express only supports the use of the Microsoft Windows Explorer, Microsoft Office, and Nuance PaperPort integration features of the DocuShare Client.
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional with SP3 (32-bit); Microsoft Windows 7 (32- and 64-bit)
- Windows XP Professional (32-bit): Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 C/C++ Redistributable SP1 (x86)
- Windows 7 (32-bit): Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 C/C++ Redistributable SP1 (x86)

- Microsoft Outlook 2003 with SP3, 2007 with SP2, or 2010
- Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6 or higher
- TCP/IP network connection to a DocuShare server running version 6.x or higher
- 512 MB RAM on 32-bit editions; 1 GB RAM on 64-bit editions
- 50 MB free disk space for program files
- 64 MB (minimum) free disk space on the installation drive for work-in-progress files on 32-bit editions; 80 MB free disk space on 64-bit editions
Note: If you are running a version of DocuShare Client earlier than 6.x, you must uninstall it before installing the latest version (v6.5.1, build 26).
